Update Finally!

Hello everyone, I'm back! Just in case you forgot I, Tess write in blue and Molly writes in purple.

Sorry for not updating this more often, Molly and I have been very busy.
Mummy is still taking me to obedience class although it is finished for the summer holidays at the moment.Within eight weeks I had been moved up to the Intermediate/Advanced class and mum says I've been doing really well. I can sit and stay for 3 mins, lie down and stay for 2 mins, I can stay while mummy is out of sight. I can also do a beginners/Intermediate/Advanced recall.
I have a best friend at the class, a CockerPoo called Dilly. I like most of the other dogs apart from the big Newfoundland and the two German Shepherds - they keep running over to me and scaring me. I shout at them to go away! I'm not scared anymore and am enjoying going to obedience now.

I had to go to the vet last month as mummy found a lump on my shoulder. The vet said something about a possible injection reaction from my booster. Mum has to wait 2 months and then go back if it isn't gone - I hope it goes away, I don't want tests.

The other very exciting thing is that mummy started taking Molly and I to agility classes! It's so much fun - I love my aunty Angela!
I can jump full height now which is over 24 inches and go through the tunnel. We are working on contacts on the a-frame at the moment.
It has been quite hot the past few sessions and I haven't really felt like running about in the heat.
Mummy also bought some jumps and a weave so we have been practising at home. I wonder how long it will be until I can run through the weave!

Don't hog all the blog Tess!

As Tess said mummy has been taking us to agility. I only started jumping full height properly last week. I was too scared before and ducked under the jumps which mummy found very amusing for some reason!
I ran over the A-frame last week but forgot to stop at the bottom - mummy was quite insistant about it!
I get too hot sometimes and go for a wander in the field, mummy doesn't understand, sometimes I just need some time to myself!

Today. mummy took me to Lanark racecourse to see aunty Angela and her dogs compete in an agility competition. They were very good. I don't think I could run some of the courses, they looked hard.

We went for a walk where I was allowed off lead to play with Jazz and Haggis and could go meet other dogs. Eventually we arrived at Lanark Loch and we all went for a dip, well all the dogs did ;)
Mummy says she has sun burn? She soaked me with the hose when I got home, it was lovely and cool on my fur. I've been sleeping most of the afternoon.

Since starting agility in April I have lost 1.9kg and mummy seems really pleased.

We are trying a new food at the moment. It's called Skinner's Field and Trial Salmon.
I was fed on Burns, but for the first time in nearly 4 years I started eating my poo :o - I tried telling mummy it was yummy but she shouted at me, so, I threatened to give her a big kiss.

Tess and I thought that we could review some products we have used for other dogs to see.
Today we are reviewing: The Dogit Water Fountain for Large Dogs.

http://www.hagen.com/dogitdrinkingfountain/eng/about/index.html

I loved it straight away, no Molly slobbers or hair in my water and it was lovely and fresh.
Mummy says the filters are cheap too, especially if you buy them on ebay. It has a set of sponge filters which need changed every 6 months and a carbon filter that is changed every 4-6 weeks depending on how many dogs are using it.

I took a bit longer to get used to it, it was strange at first but I like it now. Beats drinking out the hose!
Tess and I would give this 4 paws up out of a possible 5.

It lost a paw point because I managed to crack the base with my bone - it is still usable but we feel the base should be stronger!

Anyways folks, we hope you enjoy our blog and hopefully we will update a little more regularly!

Poor Tess bear

Hello everyone, it's Tess here.

For the past two weeks mummy has been taking me to training classes. I was a little scared at first as there was lots of barking dogs. However, I soon settled in and last Tuesday I was demonstrating in front of the whole class with the trainer! I'm so clever.
Mum says if all goes well with training I can start agility classes - I have no idea what that is but Mummy says you have to jump?Molly tells me it is fun - she said she particularly liked running around the arena.

Today Molly and I went to the vet. Molly had her usual immunotherapy injection for her allergies and I have a VERY sore ear. The vet was nice to me and didn't put her otoscope in my ear - she said it looked too sore. I have to have my ear cleaned three times a day and then mum has to wait half an hour after cleaning to put my drops in.
Mummy keeps putting a thing on my face when she cleans my ear - I can't open my mouth. I haven't said anything to mum so I don't know why she does it. I heard her telling daddy she wouldn't blame me if I bit her as it looks sore - I haven't bitten anyone?

The best bit about the vets was that our vet, Karen, said I was her favourite Dalmatian :)

After the vet, mummy took me down the high street where we met a lady who owned a flower shop. She made a big fuss of me and said to mummy she has a great friend in me.

We then went into the pet shop. While mummy was choosing my treats, Alex, the pet shop owner was cuddling me and feeding me a sausage. It was so tasty. I was very excited, I love getting cuddles. A lady came into the shop and was making a big fuss of me - her hair smelt nice. She said something about Herbal Essences then Essence of Luke the Labrador - is that a new shampoo?

Mummy and Daddy then took Molly and I to Biggar Common to run around. It was so much fun!

I've slept most of the afternoon! I wonder what we will get up to tomorrow!

(Molly)Well I finally got my BONE! I was so happy - I growled at mummy every time she tried to take it away, it is so delicious.

We had a visitor last week. Our Aunty Sarah came all the way from Bracknell to visit us. She was so much fun - she played tug of war and fetch and took us for walks. In return Tess and I offered kisses and cuddles :)

(Tess) Yeah Aunty Sarah kept asking me to "play dead" before she would throw my toy, I was getting annoyed just a teenie bit. So if she asked me to "sit" I played "dead", if she asked me to "lay down" I played "dead". I found it rather amusing.

(Molly) I think Aunty Sarah is coming back up in June - we really miss her!

Mummy has been taking us for nice walks when she finishes work, it's good to be able to stretch my legs after a day of lazing in my bed!

Not a lot to say today so will end here - it's getting past my bedtime!

Tess Bear Here

Well Molly said I could share this!

I am Tess, I just turned 3 on January 25th.. mummy hasn't got my present yet OR my special dinner!
I like teddies, cuddles, sleeping under the blankets and running!

......and no Molly there will be no toy sharing in exchange for the blog post.

29th January 2011

Well I am STILL waiting on my bone - bad mummy!

I realised, looking back I haven't really introduced myself properly.
My name is Molly, I am 3 years and 3 months old. I am chocolate in colour with hazel eyes. I live with my mum, dad and sister Tess - a Dalmatian in bonnie Scotland.

My hobbies include playing, eating, sleeping and belly rubs!

Recently mummy had problems with my insurance.
I have problems you see... I have something called Atopic Dermatitis (Allergies) it makes me very itchy, gives me ear infections and skin infections. Mummy says I will never get better but she gives me medicine every day and we go to the vet for special injections to help me every month.

Mum said the insurance wasn't going to pay for me any more - she was really upset and kept having long baths and taking tablets for something called a "sore head" no idea what that is.
On Wednesday, she ignored me for 2 hours while she was on the phone but at the end of it she said the insurance was giving me a new policy and she was happy again. I don't know what insurance is but if it makes mummy happy that's all that matters.

I think I will start to share my Blog with Tess, in the hope that perhaps she will share the toys with me!

Best for last, Mummy tells me her friend, Sarah, is coming from London to visit for a week and she will  be looking after me and Tess. I'm really excited.....I wonder if she likes Sponge Bob Square Pants?

Big shout out to all my followers!

3rd January 2011

It's snowing here again! I love the snow!Tess and I have races around the garden - I always win.

Mum and dad are not happy as they have to go back to work tomorrow, while I stay in the nice warm house with the TV on and a kong and goody bone to munch - it's a dog's life.

I've learned not to be frightened of my water fountain and I am enjoying the fresh, cool water at last. It's a Dogit Large drinking fountain, if anyone is looking for one I would highly recommend it. Mum says it is easy to clean too.

I am still waiting for my bone! Mum says I will have to wait until her long weekend this Friday. She says there was something called a bank holiday today, I have no idea what that is but mum said nothing was open. I think she is lying though - we had a delivery - they bring food every week to the house for mum and dad. It had Jumbones in it, yum yum!
